1.2 Location Data
Our Applications collect and process location data (GPS/GNSS position), including in the background when the app is not actively in use. Specifically:
- What we collect: Precise GPS coordinates, speed, heading, timestamps, and route/trip data.
- Why we collect it: Location data is essential to the core functionality of our Applications, including but not limited to: creating driving logs (körjournaler), recording trips, calculating distances, analyzing driving behavior, and generating fleet management reports.
- Background collection: Some of our Applications require continuous location tracking in the background to accurately log trips and driving activity. You will be asked for explicit permission before background location access is enabled.
- Where data is stored: Collected location data is transmitted to and stored on Deviaq AB’s servers located within the EU/EEA, where it is processed as part of our fleet management platform DQFleet.
- How long data is retained: Location data is retained for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this policy, or as required by applicable law and contractual obligations. Users or their organization’s administrators may request deletion of data at any time.
- Sharing: Location data may be shared with your employer or the organization that manages the fleet, as they are the data controller for fleet-related data. We do not sell location data to third parties. We do not share location data with third parties for advertising purposes.
1.3 Log Data
When you use our Applications, our servers may automatically record information that your device sends (”Log Data”). This Log Data may include your device’s IP address, device name, operating system version, application configuration, the time and date of use, and other diagnostic statistics.
1.4 Cookies
Our web-based services may use cookies to collect information in order to improve our services. You can instruct your browser to refuse all cookies or to indicate when a cookie is being sent.
2. How We Use Collected Information
The information we collect may be used to:
- Provide, maintain, and improve our Applications and services
